As the ICAC investigation into corruption in the NSW branch of the Labor Party continues in Sydney, the Federal Government is moving forward with its planned national anti-corruption body.

But a former public prosecutor says the the proposed Commonwealth Integrity Commission would be the weakest integrity commission in the country, and going so far as to describe it as ‘feeble’.

Nicholas Cowdery is a former NSW Director of Public Prosecutions, and now board member of The Centre for Public Integrity – an independent think tank dedicated to protecting the integrity and accountability of public institutions.

He spoke a short time ago to ABC NewsRadio’s Scott Wales.
